Boom! Boom!

Syria ... as it stands now ... before bombing
takes place ... if it does happen!
Boom!  Boom!

The bombs are to be dropped
in Syria.
(That should frustrate all Syrians hunting for treasure with metal detectors!)

Boom!  Boom!

Once again, the politicians are playing their games!
(Especially Senator John McCain, who loves his I-Phone Poker!)

Boom!  Boom!

The Russians and the rest of the world believe we're crazy to bomb a formal government (even if it doesn't live up to our standards of hiding its atrocities to its occupants) and back one made up of terrorists and extremists!
(Let's see, we've fought a war against extremists for 12 years ...
so, have we now decided "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em?"

Boom!  Boom!

As campaign contribution obligations are met, big business is saying,
"Pick me, Pick me!  Haliburton Corporation got all the money last time!  It's my turn!"
(Money, Money, Money, Money, Money, Money, Money and mo' Money!)

"Something must happen to
boost my popularity polls!
Michelle's trying to get booked
on Oprah again, but they've
said they'd rather have
this old lady swimmer!"
Boom!  Boom!

We're going to drop bombs that will kill innocent people in retaliation for chemical weapons being used that killed innocent people.
(But if we aim real good, we might not kill that many at all!  In fact, the few that get killed will only be classified as the
"unfortunate casualties that wars bring!")

Boom!  Boom!

Obama's popularity polls have been dropping as of recent.  Perhaps he believes a war is what he needs to bring them back up again!
(Hey, Look me over, I'm your kind of guy!
Let's get into another war
and drop bombs from the sky!)

Boom!  Boom!

The world's self designated police officer (the United States) is going to force itself into the spotlight once again and try to control its own population growth by sending more and more Americans off to war to be killed.
(One Congress Twelve, One Congress Twelve, people being killed in another country.  Time to forget about our own again and spread the disease of greed and political correctness throughout the world, whether they want it or not!)

Confucius say, "Rock & Roll
and the music industry has
always been about sex, drugs &
extremes.  If you're surprised,
about Miley's actions, you've
been a dumb ass too long!"
Boom!  Boom!

In the United States, there are more important newsworthy items to take up our time.  We're concerned about Miley Cyrus dancing.

Mothers, who've allowed television, movie and music artists to set the role models their kids follow, instead of properly helping their children grow by providing proper role model guidelines and instructions themselves, complain and bitch about Miley.  Yet, hasn't rock and roll always been comprised of sex, drugs, and extremes?  Now, they're upset because it lives up to its reputation!

Can you say, "Are you really that damn stupid that you expected the Video Music Awards to be a G Rated program?"
(Let's see, there's been profanity, Howard Stern's bare butt, Britney Spears and Madonna kissing, and many other instances of adult behavior and entertainment on past shows.  What did you expect, a bunch of kittens chasing a ball of string?  By the way, there's a little button on your remote that allows you to change the channel.  If you'd use it, you wouldn't have to bitch about what your children were watching!  Or, weren't you paying attention (like always) and only learned about her dancing exhibition the next day at work?)

Boom!  Boom!

A Cleveland, Ohio kidnapper that held three girls captive for 13 years hangs himself in a jail cell to escape life imprisonment.  The news media wonders how it happened.  Those with common sense are simply happy it did and that they won't have to pay for the decades of incarceration he would have cost the taxpayers.
(Ding Dong, the asshole's dead, hung himself is what they said,
Ding Dong, the damn asshole is dead!)

Boom!  Boom!

"I love sleeping with my
new shotgun.  It's so much
warmer than my wife was!"
Dennis Rodman goes to North Korea for the second time as an unofficial ambassador of the United States.  Does anyone really care why?
(He either wants to coach the Korean National Basketball Team in the next Olympics, become the team hairstylist, or get a job designing the next generation of rhinestone uniforms!)

Boom!  Boom!

George Zimmerman went shopping for a shotgun.  Wanted something that he could hold on to for self protection.  George Zimmerman's wife has filed for divorce.  Obviously, she felt neglected as her role was replaced by shotgun.
(Guess George wanted something he could cock, shoot more than once, and would remain long and true to what it aimed at.  It has been hinted his wife has insinuated he was unable to perform in that manner and that she was tired having to purchase batteries all the time!)

Boom!  Boom!

When will the bombs fall?

When will the politically correct realize most could care less what the hell they think?

When will the sanity return?

Has common sense left the building never to return?

Or, could we say, it's just on vacation for a few generations?

Boom!  Boom!

  1. So much in the media lately has felt Big, Razzle-Dazzle-ish and Smokescreen-y. It's a worrying trend.

    Good to see you back.

    1. Lizzi - Good to see you again! I'm not really back, but I'm not really gone. Kind of just floating until my brain comes back to humor. It's almost like nothing is funny anymore ... just stupid! I actually miss the days when there were two big kids on the block keeping each other in check. At least, that way, people thought about things before doing them so blatantly. I'm not a liberal, nor a conservative, just a human being trying to find the sanity in the lies we're being force fed. Thanks for commenting! (I was wondering if anyone would be this more a political and social post that a humorous one) Many Thanks!

    2. A funny (or not) kind of limbo. Glad you're still floating around though - nice to know you're out there.

I don't like the way the world seems to be going at the moment, so I'm taking the mature response of burying my head in the sand regarding the bigger picture and trying to focus on bringing the Good with the people I know and care for.

    3. Lizzi - It is a strange place to be, for sure. There's a need to write deep inside, but the material is hiding even deeper. The world is getting stranger every day. I'm beginning to wonder if too many may be hiding in the sand at times. I think the politicians believe all are simply too stupid to see the games they're playing and the lies they flaunt. I tend to believe any voice is a welcome sound, as long as political correctness is not what it's regurgitating. Just a thought. :) Many Thanks!

    1. MJ - Good of you to visit, sir! I'm not known for holding back, nor, obviously, worrying about being politically correct. It's time for people to wake up and see what's happening, instead of living in their little fake utopia of "everything's gonna be okay." It won't be if they don't get off their butts and see that things don't correct themselves. Personal accountability and awareness bring about change. That requires one to stop pointing the fingers at others and start looking at themselves for corrective measures. I realize that may be a concept difficult for some to grasp, but if I preach it enough, maybe some will figure it out. :) Many Thanks!

    1. Mark - Really good to see you here, sir! Whatever happened to the, "Don't blame others for your mistakes ... take responsibility and correct the wrongs" concept? Television mind doctors have been so blaming everything for one's actions, they've forgotten that people make choices and are accountable for those choices. Failures have excuses while winners have reasons. Society needs to stop looking for excuses and start having reasons for progressing. As long as they cannot tolerate one another and have to rely on political correctness to live, they grow closer to resembling a herd of cattle being led to the slaughter. Just my two cents. :) Many Thanks!

  4. LMAO in my cubicle where I am supposed to be working. Holy crap I've missed you! I am so happy because you made my day. Seriously every point I was nodding my head and agreeing to.

Although I thought it was you that McCain was playing poker with?

    1. Kerri - My true friend and reader. Even when I take an occasional hiatus from the blogosphere, you are always there when I return. You don't know how much that means to me. I'm glad you like my rants and sarcasm. At least there's one person I can make smile a little. I'm just amazed at the lack of common sense in our government and society today. It's like "the hell with sanity and long live stupidity!!" Do people really believe that television is supposed to cater to every person in the country? Don't they see the reality in their ability to change channels? Can't they see the way the politicians are maneuvering us back into another war to distract us from what they're really working to achieve? It's really sad times unless people start making their voices heard. I'm not gonna be around much longer, but I'm concerned for my kids and grandchildren. We don't need to return to the days of the feudal system with serfs and slaves, but that's where this whole thing is going. God, did I really just type all that? My apologies. :) Guess I'll go see if John's ready to play his hand, yet! Many Thanks!

    1. Michelle - So good to see you, my friend! I'm afraid you're so right! Americans are so caught up on gossip and reality programming, they'd rather spend all day discussing Miley than look at the possibility of another war, which will drive up gas prices, which will increase profits for oil companies, which will take care of some campaign obligations for multi million dollar contributions. Like sheep to the slaughter they slowly walk ... heedless of the reality in which they reside. Sad ... so very sad. Many Thanks!

  6. Love it, Rich! You haven't lost it at all. Sorry we are not in touch any longer. I miss the daily banter. Well, have a great weekend and I hope you and yours are well.

    1. Bill - Welcome, my friend! So good of you to stop in at my humble abode! HP's was simply too restricting for me. Too many P's and Q's to watch that hindered the force with which one could express oneself. I don't go back there because I don't want them to be able to count my views. lol I do miss a lot of my old friends, though. We had some good times before the changes they installed. Last I heard, you'd stopped blogging. I'll have to stop in and see you at your new one. Many Thanks!

  7. Right on every account, Rich. This is one of your best posts that I've read. Political Analysts listen up, this sums it up perfectly: We're going to drop bombs that will kill innocent people in retaliation for chemical weapons being used that killed innocent people.

    1. Katia - So good of you to stop in! I would suspect that if anyone could validate what I've said it would be one with your background. It is somewhat of a rant, but one that I felt necessary to spout. The stupidity of governments, and the societies they supposedly represent, is at an all time high. They don't even try to hide it anymore, which is very scary that they're so confident they're blatant in their actions. Still, most of the populace just doesn't get it, or if they do, don't care about it. The world is really becoming a scary place, not just for us, but for our children and future generations. Many Thanks!

    1. Tracy - Really appreciate you visiting! I'm glad this hit your hot spot. It means you're not the typical mom that only has a daughter when she wants to, and let's technology babysit the rest of the time. The greatest asset we can provide our youngsters is to teach them how to reason and see through the bullshit. So many of our young have stopped thinking for themselves and are allowing others to herd them down the avenue of political correct doldrums. Without those that can express individuality and unique thoughts, we're doomed as a society. The upper crust depends on this to keep their class safe from those that might disrupt their secure little fantasy world. Taking the whole, analyzing, and coming up with a realization of what's taking place is almost a unique concept in itself these days. Of course, common sense is almost a passe concept. Somehow, I know your daughter will be one of the few to carry on its tradition. Many Thanks!
