About Rich

From Rhode Island to Indiana to Europe to New York to Chicago to Alabama and finally landing in Kentucky, I've worked as a radio announcer, stand-up comedian, insurance and retail manager, corporate training director, district manager, and now a Freelance Writer (specializing in exceptionally long first sentences).
Comedy writing is my specialty, yet, anything is game.  Look hard and you might find Halloween horror stories of my Demon Cat, Gabriela.  Real life can be boring, yet, it provides the inspirations that can be slanted, re-arranged, and twisted into life's pleasures and disappointments.
Come romp through the valley of the damned and up the hills of the psychologically insufficient and reach out to enjoyments better savored with beer and peanut butter flavored popcorn. (Usually in that order.)

    1. Katia - Am always happy to meet another that enjoys the benefits of endless rambling and constant retorts of sarcasm laced with some humor and truthfulness in the morning, afternoon or evening to sit back with, as well as long sentences. lol Thanks for the kind words!

  3. Long first sentences are so important. I also especially love one-sentence paragraphs (don't get me wrong, these paragraphs are still at least 5 lines long), but my English teacher explicitly told us that this does not exist in the English language, so I only write them in German (at least 10 lines long, to make up for the 2- or more sentence paragraphs I write in English).

    1. Stephanie - I love long sentences, yet, as you've been warned, the English language tends to be made for much less, which is completely ridiculous, but understandable, to one that has made a life's commitment to writing long sentences, regardless of what he's been warned by those that don't have the ability to continue a thought or figure out how to punctuate them properly, or at least, with minor errors! I would do as you, only in Italian, but I can't figure out how to make my arms move wildly enough on paper! lol Many Thanks!

    1. Jessica - It's great to meet you, Sis! I was born in Newport, traveled as you, and somehow, ended up in Lexington, Ky. Kind of scary, isn't it? lol You're much too good looking to call me your twin, though, and you've such a great looking family. I tend to look more like a captive bred orangutan coming to the end of his days. lol Really is good to meet you! Will go back and follow you, too! Many Thanks!

    1. Misty - I am way over to the East of you in Fayette County (funny how everyone here says counties instead of cities). When I lived in Baton Rouge, La., everyone always talked of Parishes. Mostly, I live in my head, which is a strange place to dwell. :) Many Thanks!

    2. oh, you should hear me give directions to our house, it's horrible. i'll have to google map where exactly fayette county is, i'd probably get lost in a paper bag!

    3. Fayette County is the Lexington area. Btw, what would you be doing in a paper bag? That's okay ... probably better I didn't know. :)
